Kent A. D. Clark

Kent Clark has over Twenty-nine years of professional executive experience working with the United States Executive and Legislative Branches as well as our Allied partners, foreign militaries and government relations entities around the globe.

Kent has spent the last six years working Executive and Legislative Branch issues on Capitol Hill.   He recently finished working for the late United States Representative C. W. Bill Young of Florida, Chairman Emeritus of the House Appropriations Committee (HAC) and the Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee for Defense (HAC-D) where he served as an Associate Staff member to the Committee on Appropriations and was the point man for the Chairman on all issues relating to Defense, National Security, Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Constituent Services dealing with Veterans, Small Business Development and the Budget Process.

Mr. Clark has developed a keen understanding of the appropriations process and worked on projects involving all twelve of the appropriations subcommittees.  Kent has a vast and extensive defense portfolio scope that spans the Joint Services, National Guard & Reserve Components both on Capitol Hill and in the Pentagon.  He is frequently consulted for advice from State Governors, Adjutant Generals, Senior Political Appointees and Flag Officers within the military service components as well as private sector business leaders on the development of successful legislative and government business development strategies resulting in program funding.

After a military career where he served over 24 years, he established a strong diverse background in strategic, operational and tactical Logistics, Strategic Planning, Special Operations and Resource Management and later graduated from the United States Air Force, Air War College.  Today he continues to put his government relations skills and superior credentials to use supporting Defense, Aerospace, Logistics, Cyber and National Security clients as a Vice President for the DLM Group.

Prior to joining the DLM Group, Kent founded the Clark Advisory Group, LLC a Florida based consulting firm dealing with Executive and Legislative issues involving business and policy challenges effecting smaller businesses with less than $1 Billion in Annual Sales revenue.  As a former Senior Staff Member to a senior member of Congress and also a business owner, Mr. Clark understands how to translate the goals of clients into legislative & business success.  He has worked with small and large businesses on numerous appropriations and legislative projects and assisted constituents as they navigated through the daunting federal regulatory process.

Kent has a strong academic foundation with a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Management (MPM) and also a Post Graduate Certificate in Legislative Studies, both from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  He is a certified Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML) with the Society of Logistical Engineers (SOLE) and a certified Business Consultant & Member of the International Organization of Professional Business Consultants.
